Cercis chinensis ‘Shirobana’ – White Chinese Redbud –

Loved the world over,  Cercis chinensis Shirobana is famed for the spectacular display of white flowers that emerge in spring before the foliage, usually around March to April, these smother the bare stems before its glossy dark green foliage appears.Cercis chinensis Shirobana is a rare one form of cercis, which are more usual to find in pink shades, hence the common name of Chinese Redbud, it forms a small tree which is best positioned in a bright sunny position. Fully hardy, this white Cercis will do best in a rich, fertile and well draining soil and reach a mature height of around three metres after several years.  As an added bonus, the attractive Heart-shaped foliages transitions to a lovely buttery yellow in Autumn.  Supplied in approx 7.5 litre containers.
