Rhododendron (Azalea) Knaphill Northern Highlights
Another classic Azalea shrub belonging to the Rhododendron genus, This Knaphill variety is an upright deciduous shrub that reaches a metre plus in height.In spring a dramatic display of white flowers with a yellow flare engulfs the plants frame, these flowers are followed by dark green oblong leaves which turn red late summer until autumn. Perfect for a woodland setting or a specimen plant in a border in a smaller space.Avoid chalky soils as this is an acid loving plant but no need to worry about aspect as it will cope with all four. In early spring mulch around its base with an organic material such as woodchips. Will look fantastic planted in a group of three and rising out of a woodland ground covering plant.Supplied in approx. 3 litre containers.
