Anagallis tenella – Bog Pimpernel
A spreading, mat forming herbaceous perennial that is a lover of damp conditions making it an excellent choice for a pond side setting. The evergreen leaves are small and rounded and in June they disappear under a mass of single pink flowers that have darker lines marking the petals, it makes for a striking sight and this profuse floral display will continue through to September. The whole plant is a great groundcover not reaching more than ten centimetres in height and looks at its best when planted in full sun.
